Peckerwood is about 10 miles north of sugar town up highway 11. I have heard or read info from a biologist for the AGFC that says that Peckerwood lake is the most fertile lake in the state. I know from freinds and some personal experience that the lake is unparalleled for spring and early summer crappie fishing. In the summer the lake gets to low to fish from what I understand but now its great. Try spider rigging or just drift fishing some minnows. Being in the Stuttgart area, do you use mosquitos for bait? I did a Safeway store there many moons ago, and them suckers were big enough to use for bait.
