Arkansas rod and reel in LR has them in a crappie version. I believe they are 14$. I have only fished once with it and i caught a few (no doubles or triples). They are not real difficult to use. I had mine tied on a baitcaster with 30lb braid (To bend a hook incase you get snagged), I enjoyed it, but i do not prefer it to my ole 12ft pole and cork.

Looks to me like that thing would scare the fish!! I'm interested to see if anyone catches crappie on them. If they do, I'd like to know if they caught them at a greater rate than single pole, or two poling! Hope someone whose using one of those will post how they did.
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

I already got close to 20 jigs coming thru the water covering a 30' strip now. Think I'll hold off on this umbrella rig but cant wait to see some pics with crappie hanging off 'em.Thumbs Up

I've yet to see the crappie versions but they've had umbrella rigs out for crappie for a long time now. I can't see where this would be any different. It resembles a pile of bait fish so I'm sure it would work great for trolling out in open water, flats, channel edges with little structure to sang on.

I hear ya there. I usually run at least 2 rods with 2 baits offset about 3' so all together I got 4 jigs running together already myself.

If you are a maker of these rigs and stumble up on this thread, Send 3 of them to Creekslick. If he can catch them trolling (thats all he does) I will be a buyer. Only if he gives it his approval.
