Thread: Cane Creek at Star City

Has anyone been to Cane Creek lately? I would like to pull up and stay a few days if it's doing anything at all. We went there once in December a few years ago and caught three crappie in three days. LOL.....

I haven't been there lately James but I did hear they were biting a little. The thing about CC is that even though you might only catch three fish in three days (if they are biting), you have pretty good odds that at least one of them will be a "wall hanger"! Folks go there to trophy fish....if your just wanting a mess of Crappie to eat there are plenty of other potholes for that. I know a guy who came 600 miles and fished there an entire week from daylight to dark in the dead of winter (25 degree temps) and only caught 2 fish.....but they both went over 3#'s!
