New to the board!

Howdy all, I am new to the board, I have been observing for a while now, now I have decided to contribute. I will be very helpful to anyone who wants help on Conway. I AM A LAKE CONWAY SPECIALIST, all species of fish. Tips and tactics to follow, I will have to figure out how to post pictures from a iPhone, then I will show y'all some of the fish I am catching.

Thanks there meatgetter, seen some of your jigs, they look really good, but put any jig on a jig pole and put it in my hands and they all put meat in the cooler. Thumbs Up LOL! I prefer tubes nothing personal, just my preference. Nice to meet you.

Well i'm not a big crappie fisherman but i've got a 10 year old that wants to go badly. We plan on fishing Lake Conway this weekend. Can i get some advice as to what to fish with and how deep. I'll probably be hitting Gold Creek and just fishing around structures in the area. Any help would be appreciated...

I commend you for taking time out to take a kid fishing, gold creek or caney creek is a good choice, the crappie are biting on the flats just out from gold creek landing, and up in the creek where the pad stems are on the sides of the creek just past the rail road bridge, in these two areas casting a jig under a cork works really well, jigs of choice anything with charteuse, up in the pool around there are fish to be caught also, tight line around the docks and edges, also flip a cork and jig around the dock, there is a second cove just past the big cove and it has been on fire, casting has been real productive here also, again jig choice anything with chartruese, in the flat, and around the pad stems in the creek and in the second cove experiment with your depth, start by setting your cork about 24" deep, then experiment from there. At caney the crappie are biting around the old pad stems and grass mats, anything chartreuse will work, just keep in mind that the bite is subject to be slowed a little bit due to the falling water, I was at the dam today and they are letting the water out of Conway at a fairly high rate. The falling water may effect them some. The bite has been strongest at daylight as of late. Be sure to have crappie nibbles with you, they help with slow bites.
