I hesitated about posting this. But xring and I somehow wound up going fishing again this morning. We Got on the water about 8:30 . Again it was as smooth as silk and not another soul there. We idled to that same sycamore tree, tossed out a bouy, set our 11' crappie getters at 8'. Moved over the first brushpile and THUMP, then THump again over and over. It seemed no matter where we went we got hit. I was putting it on xring big time. Then he tied on an orange and char slabslayer and started jerking them out too. This time he shouted NET. He lucked out again with a 14 " slab. In about an hour and a half I decided to count and we had 34 nice fat specks. We pulled into a little cove and started catching and releasing them as fast as we could. After another hour we finished out our limit and headed to the house. Neither of us thought to take pictures today. Fishing this good dont happen often but this has been a great year so far. The pattern is the same, 10' water with brush near deep water. I will be there in the morning and will have my camera.
