Default What, No pictures, no bragging??

Someone slipped down to Ouita bay real quiet like this morning and got on a certain hotspot and caught at least 40 specks, kept a limit of 20 fat ones with a couple 14 inchers and is being mighty quiet about it. I ain't gonna call out his name, but his initials are XRING. And I sit here on my butt afraid I might get my one hair wet while he did it. I plan on being there about 4:00 in the morning cold wind and rain or not. (maybe)
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

I did manage to catch some good'ns today...most were jusy 10-12" fish,,but some were good'ns to me..You knbow my skills with camera and computers,,need you ask more!!! lol

I know that some of the new line went on the spool backwards,,because I put it on both ways,,label up on one,,label down on another...also found some old line I put on one rod...It ought to be a show about daylight on ouito...spelling...lol

The fish had moved on out to 30' of water, but the water temp had dropped 3 degrees since last trip. I caught them on a bobby garland slab slayer, rtark discovered this awesome bait and shared his wisdom with lil ole me. It was in my favorite color...cajun cricket....using a 1/8 oz. jig I poured myself with a mixture of babbit and pure lead to make the barb more rigid, I used a ozark signature 11 ft. crappie rod,a cheapo shakespere spinning reel loaded with 8# trilene XL line, I used a palomar knot and them danged crappie never had a chance....lol lol lol

Dang,,here I sit in my truck, a gentle rain splashing on my windshield and a little lighted display on my rearview mirror says its 40 degrees, leaves from Norristown mountain about a mile away are drifting horizonally to the ground, or in this case, to Ouito bay. The marker bouys disappear then appear in the rolling waves...perfect conditions for a good crappie fishing trip....lol Then I woke up.....Opened the door to let scooter dog out, he stuck his nose out and gave me a "are you crazy" look and padded back to bed...lol
Which may be a indicator of why I never could train him, obviously, he's much smarter than me....Oh,,and rtark,,,tell me again how you discovered the slabslayer, I am thinking it "might" be like my story above about being at Ouito at 3:00 AM!!! lol

I'm taking a wait and see attitude about going fishing this morning....right now,,the side of my brain that still functions is saying,,NAW....lol
