I have noticed that posts and replies are way down lately. I contribute that to all the holidays coming, deer duck squirrel seasons, high waters. Generally, I think that interest in fishing is low right now. Sometimes I wonder why someone will make a post and get 3 or 4 replies, yet there will be 500 views of the same post.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

I know I haven't contributed much lately but the bucks are fixing to be in full rut here in Southeast Arkansas and that's been a "must do thang" since I was about 9 yrs old!! Them Crappie will still be there in a couple of weeks and they will still be biting..... Then it will be back to "Hardcore" Crappie fishing during some of my favorite and coldest months! I hope to have some good reports soon... BTW, I've never gotten a PM from ANYONE that I didn't try to help out in any way that I could.

Well I have gotten quite a few responses both PM's and to this thread. I think maybe I need to clear up a few things below is the inquery I made asking for a little help.
"I saw your post about fishing Lake ******. Great catch BTW. I saw where you mentioned you caught them about 2 to 3 feet deep. I am new to this crappie fishing other than winter and spring and was wondering if you caught them tight lining, under a cork or trolling? Can you catch them along the bank or do you need to fish deeper water? Do You need to be fishing around cover or is the open water ok. Hope you don't mind answering.... I don't want any specific places or your holes.. I just kind of feel like .... well "a fish out of water" when trying to crappie fish unless it's winter or spring when about anybody can catch a mess. Just trying to learn about catching them other times of the year.

Thanks for any help you can give,"

I don't believe that was too specific, just wanting a little help. BTW I left the name of the lake on purpose. I know a lot of people on here would have probably helped, I guess I just asked the wrong person for help. As far as what I was promised (Ski Trip) it was a decal (as stated in my original post), no big deal but I was raised to believe that a man is only as good as his word. I try to live by that and also expect others to, so when I get promised something and don't get it no matter how insignifcant, it makes me wonder. Maybe some of you are right, I need to make more post so people will know where I fish and what I'm catching so I can help some others out. I will try to do better on my end.

Welcome SLB. Man don't take it too hard if a PM isn't answered. I sometimes miss a PM for several days unless I'm looking for a response from someone. This site has lots of great people on it and I believe that our Moderator does a great job.(don't get a big head Creek)LOL. Mark your calendar for March 31, 2012. This is the date of the Spring Crappie Camp to be held in Lake Village. There will be people from all over the state as well as out of staters there. I believe that Slab, Billbob and Don "G" will be there too. Go back and check the posts for the fall camp and you'll see we had a great time. And the fishing on Lake Chicot should be great then. PM Meatgetter for all the details. He's working his butt off putting the Camp together.Thumbs UpThumbs Up

Welcome SLB. Sometimes in these day and times you need to be part duck. You have to let it run off your back. I have never really had that many friends growing up in a military family but do believe in what you say about a mans word. Ive been waiting on stickers my whole life. Since I have joined C.COM I have made a lot of friends and met some good guys on the water. If you live by, you reap what you sow you just keep on posting your questions in the threads and the answers will come. Join us on the lake. PM me anytime you have a question. I will tell you what little I know.
Just 1 note.... Please dont post as much as BigRiver, what ever record he is going for cant be reached. See you on the water
