Lake Ouachita has risen six feet in the last week! That is a lotta water fellas!!! It takes a bunch of water to bring it up a foot, much less six feet. Who knows, it might actually help the crappie fishing out there once the lake stabilizes some, cause it sure was lousy before the rain came.

Nimrod about 11' high and rising, big water not got here yet from up the valley. Heard it was across the highway up the Fouche la Fave river valley!
That's just crazy. I was there saturday and I think the level was at 344. I just looked at it and it is 357.4. I wonder what is going to crest at?

It was several feet low before the rains and the water was clear. I'm sure it's muddy right now but this rain has it back up to where it should have been. The crappie fishing has been very slow lately. I'm hoping the water being back up will help the bite.
