I've been in the woods long enough! Time to hit the water. I may have to draw straws again! But may just head South for some White Perch!

I had to restock the deer meat in the freezer, Bill. I like prime deer meat about equal with Crappie!! I appreciate the report....may have to keep goin' South! If you couldn't wake'em up I doubt I would have much luck either! Have you heard anything from Ferguson or Whittington?

Well Steve, I went down after I left Lee yesterday and talked to 7 different trollers loading up at Cordell's ramp around 2:30/3:00PM. Wind had pushed 'em off the lake. One had a 30 limit and everyone else had from 9 to "about 20" apiece. The lake is about a foot lower than October last year. Several boats were bottomed out on the mud point 20 yards before they got to the ramp cause they didn't come straight in and the wind pushed 'em off course. Everyone had to push with poles/paddles to get to the hole right at the ramp and had to winch up because of the steep angle of the trailer. I helped one fella with a f'glas 375V Ranger/150 HP get back on his trailer. Broke a winch strap! Talking to these folks and after seeing what I did, bottom line is: The fish are biting. You can load/unload at Cordell's. (But a PIA!) (I was told) Mike's, Okee's and Glen Allen are too dry for anything but dragging a jon boat. May see ya there.
The fall crappie bite is on at Grenada Lake, and some nice ones too. Fish the flatts spider rigging using double drop minner's. Longlining should work also.
