I have only been able to fish a couple of times in the past month (deer season prep is taking up a lot of fishing time) so I was ready to hammer on 'em pretty good this weekend. I had very recent and reliable reports from four of my favorite fishin' holes so I drew straws last night to decide where to go. The choices were: Ferguson, Lee, Darbonne, and Rockpile. The Rockpile won out so I headed South to Louisiana to put a tattoo on some Mississippi River Crappie. I caught a limit of 50 good slabs by 3:30. I caught these trolling fast just off the bottom in 12-16 FOW. They were all caught on Bobby Garland baby shads. Name: DSC_1102.jpg
