    Default DeGray report?

Anyone been to DeGray lately? Going to try in the morning for a bit. Just curious if anyone might have some pointers.

I was told second hand from some divers that some brush piles are empty, while other brush piles are loaded with crappie. Sorry thats all the info I got right now. FFA events have been keeping me busy and off the water.

I'm seeing the same things on Ouachita. I ran over some piles with the sonar last weekend. Some of them didn't have a fish one on them. Found one in particular pile that was completely loaded with fish. My first cast I hooked a very nice black crappie and lost him at the side of the boat Doh. The next cast I caught a kentucky about 2lbs, and didn't get another bite . I tried everything but live bait, different colors, different techniques, various size jigheads, everything I could think of. I just could not get them to bite. It really frustrated me. Looking at the sonar image you would think a guy could set there and limit out but they just refused to cooperate. Guess that's why we call it fishing instead of catching. I'll probably give them another chance this weekend. Maybe they will be in a better mood.
