Put equal number of rod holders on the back and the front of the boat. Then 2 people can spider rig.Thumbs Up

Set poles out front and rest out the back of the boat. We spider rigged with 3 people in 14' flatbottom years ago. WO checked us once and said it looked like a durn porcupine. lol lol

The aggressive fish will hit the front rods first, so whoever fishes out the back might want to drag some floats to get there baits back some hoping more aggresive fish swims in their path. Me and my son used to fish together alot this way and it worked pretty good.Thumbs Up

type of rod holders would depend on the boat and room to mount them. BPS has several different types from clamp on to permanent mounts. Some members have even made some rod holders out of pvc pipe. I have driftmaster on my boat, not terribly expensive, but not free either.

Do a search on rod holders and you'll get some ideas on what might work for you. Anywhere from home made up to the finest that can be bought. I can tell ya though, the fish dont care what they look like as long as they work.Thumbs Up

I sell a metal brand of rod racks called Smiths. A 4 pole holder is 45. They come in 4,5,6, and 10. They are $10 per rod plus $5 for the removable base. Hence the 5 pole is 55 etc.

My wife and I spider rig out the front and back. If she has been nice, I'll set her up with 6 poles. If she has been a little cantankerous, I'll make her use all 8 on the front and hope she catches a catfish or a gar. I fish out the rear with 4 and as has already been mentioned, the front usually catches the best. I usually run a smaller weight and longer lines out the back and it seems to help the bite.

I did notice several people fishing the ponds near the highway and wondered what was up.
