Default A little luck on Erling

It has been a while but neighbor and I finally managed enough for a fish fry last friday had half a dozen catfish 2 of which were in the 12 to 15 lb range and 34 crappie were taken on jigs of various colors about 5 ft deep in 8 and 9 ft of water catfish were taken on trot line crappie were in small to medium range and ate really well catfish even tasted good but like I said it had been awhile lake level is way down and they will start drawing it further down in october my fishing has been terrible for the last 2 months prior to last Friday the best day I had has been 5 fish I even resorted to bass fishing for schoolies for entertainment but all fishing is good deer season prep and hunting will interupt fishing for next several months but I am sure I will get in some crappie fishing in between trips to deer camp.

Good to hear from you. Haven't heard from you in awhile. Where have you been? Why would they draw the lake down when it's already down and going into fall of the year? Doesn't that lake have something to do with a paper mill just over the line in Louisiana? Anyway, welcome back.
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!
