well I managed to get away Friday to fish before the long weekend in Branson. The fish were shallow in less than 3 ft water and liked the jigs fast. I trolled 1.9mph and they would slam it, any slower just couldn't draw a bite. I managed a limit of 30 crappie and 2 catfish. Got to see Bobcat when pulling my boat out of the water that day. Also got a huge grinnel and about a 20lb carp.

WTG!! That's a great catch J.W.! Good job on finding them in the shallow water and dialing in on the correct presentation. Lots of folks would have just gone on home emptyhanded thinking they weren't biting ! ! ! ! Blue Thunder and I harrassed the Doves on Saturday. Sunday was bad weather and I chickened out on trying the Crappie. I gave away all the Doves I shot on Sat so all I have to show for the weekend is a bruised and very sore shoulder. Next time I'm takin an automatic....that over and under 12 ga became brutal after about seventy five rounds! It was a blast though...wish you could have been with us.
me too buddy. I spent the weekend at silver dollar city and bass pro shops. tried to call ya on some deals I found. Talked with david some and jerry before I left to see if anyone needed anything LOL. Glad ya'll got in on some dove action. I was wondering if ya'll went fishing. I had to get a fix in on Friday before I left for the weekend. I found some real nice crappie that day. Thanks Mr. Bill for teaching me your trick on landing them big ol Slabs. It worked out real good and I only missed one that Friday.
Sounds like a good day
