Default Cold, rainy weekend- caught a few

New member, Luvsumfishin and I went Friday, it was cold and threatening rain. We used Roadrunners with a slow retreive to catch these. The cool weather didn't bother the crappie, they were pretty hot. Had a good time despite the weather.

I'd call that a pretty good turnout. You know, that is a great pattern you fish. It seems like it produces in a variety of conditions. You'd better be fishing more, it looks like you are beginning to lose your tan. :D

L.A., where did you catch those??? In one of the pics, it looks like you are at Pendleton. I might be crazy, but I thought I recognized that place. Anyways, I'm glad you got to go and catch a mess.

Yeah winghunting we were camped at pendleton park. We fished at Morgan Point. A lot of people snagging below the dam and doing real well. Lots of flow on the river.

I thought I recognized the place. I get down that way pretty often, though I have never fished much on or around the Arkansas River. I need to check out Morgan point and few of the other lakes down there one day. I usually stick to lakes in the Refuge when I am down there. I got a few really good friends and future in-laws that live pretty close to there. I have turkey hunted some down on Trusten Holder which is not far from there at all. I catch some crappie down there behind the dam from time to time.

Nice catch stumpjumper...looks like through the rain and wind you found the jackpot..many pans full there..where is that lake located? do you know where beaver lake is in extreme n.w. arkansas? you are probably in central to south arkansas, eh? good luck on many more productive days as that one...rain or shine! caleb
