    Default Not a Bad day........

Went to Poinsett this morning with an older gentleman from church. Got to the lake just before daylight and began fishin. Bite began around 6 and continued till bout 8 then they shut down to slooooooowww. We got the chit-chat about fishin, family, god and other things as well as catch a few HUGE crappie. It was funny watching how fast/reactive he was with that crappie rod when tappity-tap. I landed a 14 1/2 incher with is a monster coming out of poinsett as well as a couple of good 10 inchers.
We left around 10am with 10 fish including a 3lb catfish and many fun stories told and heard. Nothing better than skimming across the lake at daybreak with a cool breeze in your face. That makes it a good day.

RCC, glad to see ya again, hope you wore them out. It sure was nice out this morning.

Congrats Tom. Was down there a few weeks ago and couldn't get a nibble. Found the fish but they wouldn't do a thing. Glad to hear there's a few good ones left in there. I thought they were all gone and all was left were those dinks.

Tommy, good to visit with ya'll down there. It was a good day to fish. The bite seemed to be a little crazy. The wife came after she got off work and we caught a few bream. Congratulations on the good fish. a 14.5 out of there is not an everyday thing. What's up with the cat bite? That was crazy. 1 on a jig 1 on a minnow and 1 on a cricket.
