Tipped the jigs with minnows and trolled them

Never understood the need to add minnows to a jig trolling or otherwise? I catch plenty with tube jigs everyday. The old timers caught plenty trolling plain minnows back years ago when most of us trolled. Try you a heavier jig like a tube bait in 1/8 oz. Speed seems more important than the bait used when you troll Nimrod.

I have tried trolling without the minner and for some reason they just love those shiners on there??? Beats me but it works better!!! Catch 10 with minners to 1 without...

You'd need to prove it to me when using the right jig.
