not sure why but Bandits seem to produce better for me than other cranks...That said, I bought a trolling plate last year about the same time I started pulling bandits and I too think the speed being below 2 mph makes all the difference in the world in getting crappie to bite...

Has anyone tried to push cranks at night?

The Bandit website had some 300s on special for 2.99 that was about a month ago though. That sour apple is a good color

Looked at bandits website like wilbur said and they had a couple of colors on sale sour apple was one of them. Hope that helps

Pank -- NEVER leave the ramp without plenty of pank bandits. And like Creek said, they run true out of the box. The others may need some adjusting which takes time. And fishing time is too valuable to be wasting on tweeking crankbaits. For lots of info on crankbait fishing go to the Mississippi page and read "Pulling Crankbaits 101". It is a long thread but well worth the time spent studying it. Those MS boys wrote the book on crankbait Crappie fishing.

Got my sour apples!!! 2.99 too. I dont leave home without Plum Point, and ALL the rest of em. I have a serious addiction to buying cranks. There all good. Some days. ;-)
