Default Got a late start today

I wasn't planning on going today but father in law called about 9 and said he was ready to give it another whirl. I loaded the boat up and headed out. We went to the hole I caught them in the other day with my daughter but the gar had taken it over. We caught a few there and decided to lake hop. Tried another lake and the dang grinnel took that thing over. So off to lake number 3 at 4p.m. we got to the white river lake. the water looked good so we put the boat in. I hadn't been on this lake in a while so I used the big motor to just look around and found that it was pretty even at 6 foot deep. We finally dropped the TM and trolled quite a ways with only a couple fish to show for the long troll. I finally found them after 3 hours of looking and the bite was on. the only problem was we were losing daylight quickly. We Finished off out two limits of crappie just as the sun set. They crappie ran around 3/4 lb today. No real big ones but that seems to be the going size right now. It was a hot one for sure as there wasn't much wind but the big ol umbrella sure helped.

Presistance paid off for you guys. You paid the price from the heat and it looks like you guys came out on top. Congrats on the limits.

Looks like your persistence paid off, man. Nice bunch of fish. Glad you were able to find'em in time to catch a couple of limits too! Thanks for the post and the pics.

man I am glad someone has. I started back duck hunting last year. I grew up hunting ducks on the cache and white river but since hunting declined about 10 years ago, I lost interest. I got two girls getting up old enough to hunt and I am trying to get them some ducks, deer, turkey, and fish.
