I disagree BigRiver. I believe that most pro anglers when asked why they are using a certain product will tell you its because they believe in the quality of the product they are using and it's their choice of what products they want to use. Trust me at that level the Pro's are using equipment they believe in first and fore most. Yes they have sponsors and recieve free products and the company's that Sponsor anglers are the one's I lean towards when it's time to buy an item.
