Well my fishing buddy is on leave in a dance competetion so I got out yesterday to our local pothole. Caught 15 good keepers in 7 FOW fishing 5 ft deep. Colors were vegas, black and chart, and electric chicken. Went back this morning again for the early bite. They bit real good early and then slowed after the first hour of light with a bunch of little dinks biting. Managed a limit though by noon. Man did it get hot out there. The wind kept changing directions which made it challenging to fish. Saw blue thunder and his fishing buddy on the lake. He was flying that big umbrella. I was too lazy to put mine up. I think he caught a good mess of fish too.
Can honestly say that today was a good day and bad day. Managed to get 4 rods hung on a good tree, then entangling another for a total of 5. I was able to break em all off without any damage to the poles. In the last hour of fishing in what I thought was open water, I managed to hang a rod in a good ol catfish. Fought him for a bit and then the pole snapped taking the fish and end of my rod with it. I am down a pole now. Gonna see if I can get a replacement tip for it.
