Question on SS prop BRANDS is there a difference?

Going to buy a SS prop here shortly....For a Mercury 75hp OptiMax on 2 Crestliner CX17....The aluminum prop(s) hve done great (13 1/4 x 17P)...but the lake I fish the most is a prop eater..(Lake Conway)...so it seems like I break'em contstantly...So my question is...Is there a difference in the different brands out there? MIchgan Wheel, Solas...etc...??? I'm really just looking for good solid overall performance at bets price...

I have a Solas on a 25hp Tohatsu. It is a great prop, but I don't know about other brands.

Yes there is a difference, mostly in quality, solas is is prolly one of the best SS props you can get that is just a all around good prop, stong and durable, Michigan wheel props are not as strong or durable. Lots of good prop manufactuers out there. Just have to do a little homework, to figure out which is best for you application and your pocketbook. I fish Lake Conway 90% of my fishing time and I am running a OMC prop on my 150 johnson, i have found that the maker of the outboard has the best props for thier motors at about the same price. I am running a 24pitch raker prop made by OMC for Omc/bombardier outboards, it will chew those stumps and spit them out. And it still looks new and its been used on lake conway since 2002.
You can't beat the taste of them ole fried SLABS N TATERS!!
