Who are you getting to build a 1660? I have been thinking of having one built that size as well. I am leaning towards F&F in Monticello. Do you think you would really need a 80HP to push it? My brother-in-law has an F&F 1552 with a 25HP. It does fine, could use a little more, but fine for most lakes/rivers around here. Just curious!

I think I'm going with Legend Craft. They are right here by the house and do good work. I have a Weldbuilt now and like it.

So far, I have not been impressed with F&F. But the only ones I have been around were for bow fishing. And when I was bow fishing we ran a Weld Built 1660 square front boat with a 60 tiller yamaha. That boat ran good with 3 guys seating on back seat and generator and junk.

But I have the 80, just gotta put the tiller handle on. It is a 4 cyl, 2 stroke.
