If you have greasy, or dirty spots try Folex. Can buy it from Wal Mart or anywhere that sells cleaning supplies. Wet your carpet, just a little and spray it with Folex, let it set few minutes. You can wash it off or vaccum . It is not supposed to have any chemicals in it to hurt anything.
As for the wax, any good wax will bring back the shine.
