I know kayak fishing ain't for everybody. I've been crappie fishing for 15 years and only kayak fishing for them since October of last year, but I've caught more limits of crappie from my kayak than I ever did from my motor boat. Maybe I'm just enjoying it more and fishing harder I don't know, but I enjoy the exercise and the fishing.

I think you need an equipment upgrade. Maybe a couple more rod holders, HDS10 on the bow linked to a hds5 at the console.....

It is cool. I used to fish from a pero when I was a kid. I would strap my rods to my motorcycle and ride to a friends lake and use their pero (I don't know how to spell it LOL) to fish. I always top water fished for bass with tiny torpedos. Great times for sure! do you paddle that boat with your feet ?

Yes, It's a Hobie Outback and has fins like a penguin that flap back and forth left and right as you push the pedals forward and back. I can turn the nose into the wind and lightly pedal and just sit on top of a brush top and jig it till it's empty. Sounds easy don't it lol. RCC I have more rod holders I can use up to 4 rods for spider rigging, but after Sunday I've decided 2 may be a plenty. If anyone is really interested there are others on here kayaking for crappie. We have a new forum here called "Kayaks Canoes and other small watercraft. Yea Strip, when I was a kid I made a tube boat out of straps and an old truck tire and would tote that thing for miles to a small lake and fly fish for bream and bass. Man those were some fun times. Our bait of choice was a devil horse.

That's a nice rig but I have never ever mounted one. Like a few others, I'd probably get so excited that I'd wind up in the lake with everything else. Those types of encounters are what make the world go 'round! Thanks for posting. AJ
