Default The good the bad and the ugly

I would like to start by saying thanks to all those who have helped me in my first few years of crappie fishing. I have learned much from y'all.
For those of you who want to criticize me for posting the general area I caught my " dinks" and what bait I was using.... Keep it and to yourself!!!!!
Or PM someone who gives a crap.

Next time I will post geo coords!!!!

This country had enough hate and greed to go around i don't need yours!!!

Let me elaborate.... Fetmo got his feelings hurt when I recommended for him not to post to many details on the open board. I may very well have " burnt a bridge" posting too much info about a members home lake this spring.
I am not greedy by any means but on the other hand look at gold creek.... It's so crowded you can't fish it.
It's fine and dandy to help some of your friends on here, but most of the viewers on the open board are
NON members looking for an easy catch for the weekend. I work too hard to have the success that I do to have it exploited. If you can't catch crappie let's talk about it and get you catching fish, but let's not
Tell the world where in the lake to fish. NOT because I am greedy but because it would RUIN it. I have ran into many many people that say they learned about a particular spot from crappie.com I ask there user name and they are not members.
I had alot more to say but i am trying to drink beer and talk to my neighbor.
Sorry for those who disagree but, we don't have to agree right?

I checked out jiggin pole joe profile and I was not impressed a little humility would go a long way C.D.C. is all about crappie fishermen sharing information if you do not think this what it is about maybe you should not participate in fine information sharing board good fishermen will find the hotspots (yours as you see it ) they will find the the tops you put in the hotspots ( if you ever did ) but maybe not maybe you are one of those fellows that will catch a few fish in a spot and think he has accomplished a great feat due to his knowledge understand I assure you a fisherman has been there before you and will be there long after you are gone . Enjoy your fishing let the rest of us enjoy theirs as we see fit.I am sorry for the long winded outburst but this whole situation just seems wrong wrong wrong and if the rest of the board can not see it then maybe I am in the wrong place.

That's what we are here for and what CDC is all about....sharing information and helping our fellow fishermen. Remember, 10% of the fishermen catch 90% of the fish anyway....fishing technique is far more important than location any day. I don't have a problem sharing location, technique or jigs if it will help put fish in someone's boat and promote this sport!

I hope you don't mind, but I think this is a good topic. I think we all start out here as 'lurkers', which is what my state board calls it. Posting info is what C.c is all about, I believe? After a series of chronicles our board is truly dying from this very topic. There's only a select few who can share their info without persecution from the envious. Or, they feel like they've been 'shown-up' and it's their business to enlighten us with their talents. As far as posting hot-spots and what not, most groups of fisherman won't even dent a school of fish, probably because they didn't look-n-learn here. There are varying degrees of knowledge when it comes to fishing. When I started out there wasn't anyone really to help, it was all hands on and billfold open. I really enjoy helping others, saving them some green, and "passing knowledge" on, since I'm not an author. Info sharing is what makes C.c a great "tool" for any fisherman. WE ALL STARTED SOMEWHERE, help a brother out, SHARE! And no GPS coordinates aren't really necessary, just leave an X there.

Ya'll can give up all your secret honey holes on this board but then don't gripe when they get too crowded. We can share info with everyone but I will not give GPS coordinates or exact locations. If a person is good enough to clue you in on a PM or phone call that means it is not public information. Please don't jump on anyone for not wanting to give out exact spots or details. Please don't take this wrong, if it makes you happy then post your exact locations and invite everyone.

Really, peoples profiles impress you all?
Let's make this simple for simple folks.
IF YOU ENJOY CATCHING FISH DO NOT GIVE INFO ON THE OPEN BOARD.
