I have never fished it myself.. When i lived in Jonesboro some of the guys I worked with said that they used to crappie fish it years ago and said that it was good fishing.. IDK though, can't really say bc i have never fished it. I know it looks like you could catch a mess out of there though.

    Default Lake Ashbaugh

We have heard some reports of fish being caught there over the last couple of weeks. The numbers are not high but the sizes are good. The anglers are catching fish from 11 to 14 inches with an occasional bigger one. The lake got extremely low last fall and winter. Basically no one could fish it this winter because of the low water. We didn’t have enough water to pump it back up. Finally we started getting some water, and we have been pumping since February. We are pretty close to having the lake back to normal pool.

Stay away...bears, cougars, rattleheaded coppermouths, and rabid coons...you guessed it, I do not want to share...the crappie are headed shallow...black and chatreuse tubes or minnows...got eggs but still about 10 days away from domino...they are nice crappie but not tremendous numbers...anyhow watch out for those snakes...

used to duck hunt up there in the 90's and always thought that lake looked fishy.. We used to always see these old dudes fishing the east/west ditch just below the lake ( to the north) during duck season..not sure what kind of water would be in the ditch now though...
