    Default A few from Degray (very few)


    Dad and I went this morning and managed to catch seven. Four of them were very nice thick crappie. We won't talk about the other three, although I'm sure my dad enjoyed eating them too.

    We fished jigs and minnows in 14-23 feet of water about 8-10 feet deep. We tried shallower and casting to the shore, but didn't catch any. Also, the jigs didn't catch any of the seven.

    Hmmm....they look smaller in the pictures. Maybe it's been too long since I've seen a nice crappie.

    Way I look at it is 7 is better than 6! and it's 7 more than I brought home from the office today. Nothing wrong with those fish - stay after em!

    Beats sitting at home. Hands Clapping Holler sometime , if you ever want to try Lake Nimrod jiggin. Nice Blacks , most of ours are Whites. Seldom catch any good Black Crappie here. I like the Black as they are scrappers.Thumbs Up

    Nimrod, I'll have to take you up on that offer sometime.

    Don't get me wrong everyone, I'm not complaining about the numbers. I was glad to not get skunked again. Didn't want anyone to think I was bragging about seven fish.

    I seen days when I would've been thrilled to catch seven . That's why they call it fishing instead of catching.
