    Default South AR Crappie Report

Been a couple weekends since I last reported. Two weekends ago, I went to the Dumas area and fished a little old place off the AR river. This was during the thunderstorms we had that Saturday. My brother and I waited out the storms and caught 35. Went back this Saturday and caught my limit. Sunday wasn't so good, only caught 5. The water temp was 49 degrees in the river, backwater was 50 on Saturday and 54 on Sun. I haven't found the crappie in the spawning areas yet.
Noble Lake was full of boats on Sat & Sun. Taylor Old River has been hot but you have to know someone to get in there.
I tried the back water off the river last Thursday near Island Harbor in Pine Bluff. Water temp was 48 degrees and cold/windy. Didn't get a bite. Fish Safe!

I was one of the boats at noble and only caught one crappie and an eight pound grinnel. left noble to go to atkins and caught one crappie and a bass there. no one was having any luck for crappie on either lake in fact everybody we talked to at noble had not caught a fish. They sad they were tearing em up there the week before but they sure were not biting saturday. You heard anything about douglas or morgan point.
