Newbe to Lake Conway

Have been doing some reading on this forum, got a map and found a good bait shop with launch. I will try Gold Creek the first time out. Any suggestions about Lake Conway Crappie fishing is welcomed.

Thanks for the advice. I have got extra shear pins just for Lake Conway. About how many people got out in Gold Creek on the weekends?

So many that I don't even bother going. It looks like a boat parade. And it seems like the more there are, the worst the fishing gets, I guess due to all the traffic. I've been there this week and even today it was rather crowded. All I can say is if you go on a weekend, let alone one that's going to be as pretty as this one, be patient and then be more patient........oh yeah and forgiving as well........lol.

Got into Gold Creek around 10am. Not as crowded as I thought it would be. But the fish were not bitting, we caught 4 in 5 hours. Who ever we asked, wasnt doing well either. I will try again this week after work. Are there any specific spots in the pond that produce.
