Anyone know if the fish or biting of have been catching any crappie at Island 40?
I know that Isl 40 got some water in it the last time the river was up. I don't know about how the fishing is now. I would recommend the lower end, south of the boat dock.
I do know that they are doing pretty good at Horseshoe around the piers. Blk/chart jig in 4 or 5' of water.
how high does the river need to get to get in island 40?
I believe it is somewhere between 16' - 18'.
Dont know about I 40 but some of my buddies are catching them pretty good at midway One of them called last night said he had 32 nice uns. Said they were runnig in the 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 range. I went to mound city yes. only got 5 but they were nice 1 1/2 lbs. no eggs in them yet.Only stayed 2hrs and wind blew me off.
Good Luck
