Hey rangerxlt, i fish from a boat when the weather allows it , but so much of the time in spring i do a lot of bank fishing. If conditions allow, i will put on waders and use a longer pole to work the brush and timber in the back of creeks. Suggestion, be on the lookout for a steady warm south wind, blowing into the back of shallow coves with incoming flow of water., for a period of 3 days or longer. This brings in the shad and you will catch some of everything from crappie, white bass and good walleye. Use a stiff spinning rig and white 16 oz roadrunners. I will attempt to post some photos of the results of this type fishing, if i can figure out how to do it. Remember this is only good in the spring and before the spawn. Good fishName: 100_1011.jpg
