Thanks, Gut Shot, and slabsntaters; I check the next time I go to Walmart. I'm like tommuboyrn; I have a 1998 Mercury and have had no trouble as of yet, but I don't want any trouble either. If a separator will help I'll get me one.

Well, just ordered one online. I have a 1997 yamaha 30hp and have had no probs yet and dont want to. Thanks for the information everyone.
