Old River in Scott (I think there may be several. It has been good lately but the fishing slowed with this front. I will usually fish it first before anything else just because its closer to home. I need to get over to Thomas and spend some time. I have never fished it before this year.

I fished it several times in the early to mid 90s. Although I thought I was Kevin VanDam back then, we always caught a lot of good crappie while bass fishing. I've fished it a few times in recent years - it's definitely not what it once was IMO, but still a great place to fish!
Got to fish about a hour until I got wet and cold, caught 4 nice one's. They were full of eggs, looked ready to explode..
Nice! I am going to try and get out there this weekend. Were you using monnows or jigs??
Bobby Garland pink/chartuse slab slayer with tipped with a minnow. The folks fishing off the bank had some Rosey Reds, I couldn't get any yesterday..
Caught a nice limit out there today...Pictures tomorrow.
Sweet!! What time you gonna be out there tomorrow? Maybe we could meet up. Where were they today? I assume you caught them on minnows again?
Used pink/chartuse bobby garland with crappie nibblet in the stumps. Not many stumps were showing but I got lucky. Saw some yo yo'ers, couldn't tell if they were doing in good but they fished all day, so they must have been catching some. I did try the buck brush for a little while but didn't catch any there. I figure the next full moon will make things crazy. I won't be out there today until this afternoon.
