    Default Thomas' Reservoir

Anyone ever fish this reservoir near Hazen?

I used to fish there 20 years ago and caught nice crappie and bream. Curious if is still as good as it was then.

If you're talking about Adolph Thomas Reservoir, it is private and they are still catching a lot of fish including crappie. I know a couple of people that were members up until a year or 2 ago when the price of a membership went up quite a bit. I have been to the reservoir but never had the oppportunity to fish it.

It's still great fishing as of last year. The water is way low this year, not sure that it's going to be as easy to get in as last year with it so low. It's almost dry dirt where I was catching fish last spring. But lots of crappie and bream!

Memberships are $300. The water is low but you can get around being careful. Me and my 11 year old caught our limit of crappie 3 weeks ago and have caught nice messes since then, but it has slowed some. The weather hasn't been very good on my latest trips but we have caught fish. If anyone wants to join PM me and I can get you a number. There are only limited amount of memberships available.

I have talked with Jeryl Jones and am going today to look at this place. I am very familiar with the area, but have never actually laid eyes on the lake itself. I have a few friends who have been members in years past and they have told me that it is really bad fishing.

I do understand the vegatation gets really bad, but is the fishing really that bad. I am looking for an alternative spot to Old River, and for $300 bucks its not that expensive to find out, but All I have heard from actual people who have been past member is that the fishing really is terrible. Maybe they just fished on the wrong day???

Also for those of you that fish it. Are the memberships regulated? By that I mean are people who are not paying members kept out of the place? It was my understanding also that the bream fishing was the best thing on the lake.

I think I will give it a try. Lake is low but they are pumping. 90% of the people I have talked to say it is good to great fishing. For $300 bucks I am gonna find out.

Hope they can get a little more water in it though
