Thread: Shook Up

people to the east and west of me say they felt it but i didn't and live within 15 miles of them on a line. i was up too. maybe my feeler is getting old?

It woke me up. Rattled everything in the house.

Quake.

It was 4.7 at 11:04 last night. 4.2 NE of Greenbrier

It was deffinatly wierd, I heard the rumble then every thing went to shaking and rattling. I really is a strange feeling. I have never felt a quake before.

Arkansas had a few of those quakes in the past year. Look at the history of Memphis in the 1800"s---We had a destructive quake back then.
Supposely the Mississippi is sitting on a major fault and that is how the river formed.
Some say the Mississippi will be the river that will divide the US after the next major quake. Literally it will divide the East and West but it may be an ocean that divides us if the rumors are true.

The quake of 1811 and 1812 formed one of the finest fishing holes in northwest TN, Reelfoot Lake. Here in northeast AR it formed The St. Francis Sunken Land and Big Lake. These areas have a lot of history. We are waiting for the next big one. They say the MS river ran backwards!
