Here is how it's wrote in our regulation guide book.

Possession Limit The total limit of a certain fish species that is in your possession at any time, whether on your person or stored in another location. Double Daily Limit

I copied mine out of the regulation booklet. You may not possess but 2 limits till they are processed and in your permante home, then it does not apply. Better do some more reading in the 2011 fishing regulation booklet sNERD.:D

Hi Guys---Since some of you have tackled the issues dear to my heart--I will put in my 2 cents worth. YO-YO's need to go---I know some say and the law say, they must be in eye sight but that is not always the case. Devices can be produced to get around this issue by using jugs or similar devices that do not require the in sight rule.
Limb fishing---jugs-- yo-yo's should be banned for catching crappie. Nets and trotlines are already banned so why not go all of the way.
Arkansas and Texas use to have a 2 pole limit and I would love to see that brought back and enforced. The spider rig guys may get mad and those that sell the devices and hardware may not appreciate my comments but it is my opinion and how I feel.
Imagine a guy having a freezer full of crappie numbering into the hundreds---I ask why--unless you are having a big fish fry. Some of these crappie are problemly thrown away when they get freezer burned or given away.
I do give people crappie, but they are fresh fish.
Really--No one will admit it but how many sell crappie---I know some guys got caught at Lake Wright Patnam with several freezers full and a couple of thousand crappie they were selling.
I like to consider myself a sports fisherman when going after crappie---I use a rod and reel or a pole to catch them and mostly use one pole but at times I will use two poles--more than that gets in my way, plus spider rigging I guess has to be done in open water away from brush---snags and trees--this is where I fish--right in the middle of such things.
I can catch enough crappie with one pole to provide me with fish all season---When we have a family reunion I resort to trotlines and go after catfish more the main course of fish to include panfish and crappie as the dessert on the side.
I guess you can say I like to play fair and most crappie fisherman do also---Give the crappie a chance to avoid capture---stop the nets---trotlining---spider rigs--yo-yo's and jug fishing for crappie---capture by pole or rod and reel only.
There is a lot of great crappie fisherman that will release smaller fish but some will keep 3-4 inch crappie and some say they release the larger ones. Do we need to do like the bass fisherman---place a size limit both on small and large crappie and keep the in between sizes---Texas has a 11 inch law and I understand 12 inches on Cats.
Think about it---some day we all may have to eat fish if it gets any worst on land and taking away the farm land.
Maybe the crappie can help clean out smaller species of trash fish.
Maybe we should voice our opinions to the game and fish commission or have the web master to start a on line petition to them.
It is our sport---our Republic---our future--our kids and the protection of our natural assets---Do we really need to be hoggish---greedy and non caring---Allow Arkansas to stay the Crappie wonder of the USA.
We have many beautiful lakes, rivers, bayou's and waterways that harbor an amazing collection of fish and different species--I would love to see our ego system improve and us do a better job of placing out crappie structures and improve the population than if need be---We can lack a little--but only a little.
Crappie is a game fish like the bass---We do not need to act like it is a commercial sport and it is---Let us do something--PLEASE.----
    Sorry for the long RANT.
Some lakes do not have Crappie at all due to commercial netting---I know they are suppose to release them, but a lot may be dead and who believes they release all game fish.----If you believe that--- I have a Golden Gate Bridge I wish to sell.--why not restock all lakes and waterways---

Limit of 20 or below would be fine with me---2 guys that is 40 crappie---maybe 10 is better
A lot of Arkansas has a limit of 20--I can not imagine 50--that would destroy us here in the Southern part.

Wasn't there a minimum length limit on Nimrod or a couple of other lakes a few years ago? I know that there are a few fishermen that will keep any size fish but most will throw the dinks back. At least I do and hope that others do.

It all needs to be on a lake by lake basis. That being said I wouldn't mind a length limit on Degray....maybe around 10".

I agree with a length limit. I think a 10" minimum would be fine. I'm not trying to start an argument but I don't agree with what everyone is saying about yoyo's. I love yoyo fishing. I think that there should be tighter restrictions on them. What about making it where you have to stay with your yoyos at all times. That's what I always do and it doesn't waste the fish. Just a thought.

thats the way its suppose to be now within sight and sound. the problem with yo-yos is the amount you can have.

as prolific as they are here in the delta area i think it is like it should be. no size limit at all. and as good as the fishing is right now maybe even take the limit off for a couple of years and do some population control to let the bream and bass have a chance to grow. and that single pole limit that is posted above is just wrong. i'm for a no pole limit.
