    Caught this dude in dagmar in hickson lake on crappie jig. I think it's a pickerl

    fillet that dude and leave the skin on and score it like you do buffalo fish and you have some wonderful eating. otherwise you got bones. most people call'em trash fish but they are very good eating.

    Thats is a Pickeral. And some fine eatin it is.
    There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    Yep its a CP I've caught many of them on spinner baits in the "wa****a" river backwaters
