    Hey ski - Its in Phillips County. Its a oxbow off the Mississippi River.

    You say it is too far because you have caught any of those behemoths down there. Folks use a 7' heavy action flip stick to jig with, 50# braid, and 4/0 jigs.

    The fishing is good but you better keep your possessions in eye sight at all times. I have never been to Old Town and not had something stolen.

    Well, didn't find what I went after but did leave with a coulpe of good channels and pretty sure a wind burn.

    raid 24, I take it that you fished Old Town today? I talked to a local who said that he had several reports that most everyone was catching several and they were big. I sure wish I knew for sure before I travel 6 and a half hours to fish there.

    I did not catch a crappie one. I got there around 8am and the wind finally got the best of me around 2pm. Was fishing the west end of the lake and only saw one other boat that had yoyo's out and they were not having much luck either.
