I have always heard that you needed to spool it on with the label side up. I spooled this on through the window in the edge of the box. After it was in such a mess, I stripped it all off and tried to wind it back straight and it was just as bad. Today I spooled on some cheaper line with the label side up and it seems to be ok. I think it would have been ok on jig poles but casting was a definate no go, probably due to the way I loaded it on the reel.
