The Pool Is Crowded!

Over the years I have met some really nice people in the pool, but I have met some that were not so nice. There are some that have not got any common courtesy, if your are catching fish they will move right in on top of you even when you are anchored, I have had guys throw across my line and say they were sorry and turn right around and do it again the next cast, and then I have seen people sit back and watch me wear the fish out and them not catch a thing, and they never moved in on my spot because they had courtesy to wait their turn. Or at least not till I filled my limit and had to leave, at that point its fair game. But the class of fisherman in the pool is changing from respectful to disrespectful, I have shared my fishing spot that I have had occupied before, but it was by my choice, not by somebody choosing for me. I want everyone to catch fish but I do not want someone crowding me because I am catching them and they are not. I respect other fisherman’s space and I expect other fisherman to respect my space.

I have never fished in the pool. Where is it? I've fished in conway most of my life. My grandparents owned a house a larwance landing for 20 years.

sounds like the pool is a hot spot keep fishing and it will pan out do unto others as you would have them do unto you

Good advice there, however when you have to work all week and you finally get the chance to go fishing, and you have very unethical fisherman ruin your only chance at a successful outing, you tend to get a bad taste in you mouth. Like i said a couple of posts back, i have had people throw over my line , say sorry as i had to untangle the lines, then the very next cast have to do it all over again cause they do it again, cause they didnt get the message the first time, on the second time that it happens i send back a empty line, cause i cut thier tackle off.

I learn something new everyday,I didn't realize some of you have to fish elbow to elbow as to fight and even cut your line.Heck I'll move on and let them catch the drum,they aren't worth getting a blackeye or your line cut over.

Turtlebait, let me know where you are catching them at and I will come crowd you so you will leave and it will make it easier for me, I wont need me one of the handy dandy fish graphs.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I've had my eye one of them there handy dandy 1198's for awhile now,I want it every dearly.Its like a big tv screen,I can dig up one of my fruit jars to pay for it.By being a x user of finders I know I'll lose a lot of time in fishing b/c I like watching tv.

I like reading this board....and there are some very good people here......But enough on the hipe about lake conway....The "pool" as you guys call it is crowded because of this message board !!!!! I AGREE 100 % with others!!!!! 89 bridge used to be the same thing...I saw a couple of fellas bout jump into each others boat over fishing spots with threats to kick someone a@@ over it @ 89 bridge in the 90's. Way to much talk and sharing about Lake Conway !!! Didn't ya ever listen to grandpa tell it?? Never say too much about a good thing fishin wise...someone will abuse it !! Its a wonder that ANY fish are left in there!!! One thing I just can't stand is people MILKING a spot for all its worth, as my crappie mentor calls it...you would think its life and death to some. Some of The rudest fisherman I have ever seen in action fish lake conway...go blow by ya with no reguard of the wake and don't slow down...bump your boat like they own that spot, mouth off at ya...keep way too small a crappie and keep over the limits!! Throw trash into the lake....its not good. NOW...got that off my chest. Most of the time I have gone to look for peacefull waters of east arkansas...

Well turtlebait, Seems you have been about as bored as I have today, I have enjoyed the him hawing back and forth today, Good luck on the clear low water, I guess you better be looking for a universal key to unlock them fish jaws. Cause we are entering the time of year where muddy stained rising and falling water is just going to be a common thing for awhile again. Dont forget to PM me so I can crowd you out of your fishing spot. :D
