Default It's about that time again...

Time to start hitting the lakes and pulling in some slabs. I prefer to do my crappie fishing mainly with yoyos, but I'll bust the poles out every once in awhile when I'm bored. Also, slide some fishing in, in February, because all of my hunting seasons are out. I've already given up on deer, duck goes out on the 30th. This will be the first year that I've had my boat for crappie season. Looking forward to putting it to good use. The 18hp is running nice on my 14 foot flatbottom. Maybe I can talk Mama into letting me hit Nimrod, Conway, and a few of the other lakes within driving distance...maybe...

Glad to be checking back in on the forums again as well. :D

Fro you need to come out with me and ARCountyboy sometime with that bucket full of YoYos. This cold weather is killing me! I'm ready to hang some lines.

    Hey guys,

Where y'all do your yo-yo running? I'm hoping to drag my boat out of the back yard hopefully this Friday afternoon and start checking it out.

I do most of my yoyoing on Indianhead Lake in Sherwood at my in-laws. The live on the lake so it's pretty easy and hassle-free. I've also yoyo'd on Conway. Anything within an hour of LR is hittable for me. Yall say "when" and I'll try to be there.

The only Indian Head lake I know of is the one off of Hwy 5, not far from Hwy 319, is that the one you're talking about?

Take a look at the Nimrod build coming up , if you plan on fishing here it could benefit you. We will let you help sink cover if you can make it on Feb.5. Ever get out and start catching fish jiggin , you may sell your YoYo's young Grasshopper.. lol lol:D

We just got done with a job over there on the lake. Home theater and camera system. I kept telling Tommy I was going fishing out there. Looks good over there.

Nimrod, I wish I had your money. I wouldn't have to work and could go fishing all the time. Like you. Must be nice. Then maybe I could give up yo-yo's. Not. Still to fun. Just kidding. I'm glad you get to go and post pictures and give reports. Maybe someday if I keep working I'll be there.

What time on the 5th are y'all getting together? Still to for out for me to say, but I sure would like to come up. I like this dill of everyone getting together and helping. Get a lot more done that way and have more places to go. What kind of cover is needed? How big?

Good luck with the fishing, the boat, and the permission slip from Mama.

We are building pallets beds , but invite everyone to bring brush, pvc, bamboo or whatever you please. We will probably start about 9.00 am till ?????? Hope everyone can be there and then come back to reap the rewards. Nothing wrong with YOYOs if that what it takes to catch a mess to eat. I have used them a little , but hate see'n dead fish hanging on them every year on Nimrod.
