    Default welcome worldsworstfisherman!!

welcome to crappie.com worldsworstfisherman. Hopefully you can get some tips and hints from this site to help you with your future fishing trips and jig making ideas you have. There are a few folks on the arkansas page who make there own jigs, soswine is one person I know for sure who does. Since you have access to a big pontoon that is in a slip up at greers ferry lake you might want to talk to creekslick or dr pepper they both pull crank for crappie on that lake. Also you might want to talk to crappiepro he would be able to help you out with lake conway since I know you fish it alot.

Welcome. I am looking forward to pulling some jigs on Greer's. Another month or two and they should be about right.

If it is windy, bring a big boat. I use 4 rods to pull with. I put 1/4 onz jigs on all four, but, the front two I put a 3/4 onz egg above a swivel with about 2 ft of leader. I don't have all of the sufisticated stuff Creekslick does. I simply cast the back two out as far as they will go. The front two I just let out about 20' of line. This is my same setup fro Bandit 300's. I like just about any kind of tube jig with pink or white. I haven't found a magic color for a Bandit yet. But, I have been successful enough to keep trying to find one.
In the spring I try to stay in about 20 to 25 feet of water with the jigs. When pulling the Bandits as the water warms up, I tend to pull in deeper water and closer to timber.
As Creekslick sez "Always buy 5 when you buy a Bandit". My retreival rate is about 50% or less.
    Good Luck

Glad you made it to the darks side bro, lol. You'll find alot of good info on here. I've only been here a short while and have learned a ton. We need to get together again after the holidays and make another trip out to Lake Conway. Welcome aboard bud!
