I fish out of a jon boat, and I'm looking for for insulated shoes ( or low cut boot) instead of boots to wear while fishing. It would make moving around and operating TM a lot easier. Ideas?
I have a pr of the low cut Muck boots that I like.
I checked at Walmarts today and I saw a pair of nice waterproof---light weight---high top---lace up camouflage boots--1 pr. was 50 bucks and the other was 75 bucks.
Plain old work boots come in a insulated style--mine was steel toe but I guess they have them without steel toes.
There was a military style boot with the screen on the side--camouflaged---keeps your feet from sweating--this is a must or you will get cold feet.
There is a ankle high snicker that is insulated also--I had a pair I used to work in with steel toes--a rule of thumb I like to include when getting footwear is to make sure I can kick them off in a hurry if I need to
I have a pair of Muck shoes that are very warm.

Hard to go wrong with muck boots or shoes. Easy on and off and keep my feet warm and dry.
You should've been here yesterday!!!!
I hate to give the price for the muck shoes, but I guess it depends on if you want to ruin a trip to the lake by having cold feet or not. I would want something I could kick off in case of an accident.
im sure you have heard of hand warmers that hunters use....they also make a shoe inerst that will cover the entire bottom of your shoe or boot....mite give those a try in your favorite shoe and see if that doesn't keep your feet warm...i have not tried them yet myself
I have the cold feet problem too and I bought some Browning wool socks, not blended wool but the 87% wool ones. They are a little pricey, about $10 a pr. But I haven't had cold feet since I bought them and they are really comfortable too. I use them with ankle high leather shoes Ask Santa about some.
It ain't nuttin but luck.
