The sand bass my Dad used to call them rock bass. Some folks get the sand bass mixed up with the striper, but again two different fish.
A rock bass is more of a green color and stripes are darker green than a white bass. The white bass is a good name because it is whiter than most bass.
White Perch is what some of the older folks call Crappie and now we have white crappie and black crappie and we have some shell crackers in our waters also.
I have caught sand bass when fishing for crappie, but I need to get some white bass and try them out--Believe it or not I will bet that some folks do not know the difference in a sand bass and a white bass.
Do you guys consider the two the same fish.
