If any of you guy would like to learn a little more about Lake Conway, I would be willing to take you out and show you around, in your boats at your speed of course. I have an ability/Knowledge of Lake Conway that very few people have. I was raised on that lake, and have fished that lake my entire life. From catfish to crappie, bream to bass, I know that lake. As I grew up, I was on Conway 7 days a week. Now with work and all I average 2 to 3 days a week. I would not think of taking a person out there in my Boat and try to show them that lake at 65mph. The stumps look like fence posts at that speed. A boat ride with me on Lake Conway in my boat is not for faint at hearted individuals. However and I can say this with Great certainty You would be way safer with me in my boats at 65mph than you would be striking out on your own on lake Conway. Lake Conway will eat trolling motors as snacks and outboards for the main course anytime an inexperience angler wants to try it. I have towed many, many first timers to the ramp because they did not know what lake Conway is capable of. I have pulled people and their equipment out of the lake after they have flipped their boats out on Conway because they did not know how to negotiate stumps. I AM NOT trying to Brag but, I KNOW LAKE CONWAY.
You can't beat the taste of them ole fried SLABS N TATERS!!

All I can say is congrats on your survival!! Years ago I would run Barnett like that but I was on that lake quite a bit back then and knew the lanes well. Back then there was more visible wood than not though compared to now.

I used to run Conway lanes wide open at about 25 MPH in my stick steer until Dano fixed his ramp a few years ago. Watch for floaters in the lanes. Fun chasing commarants too.
You can't do wrong by fishing out of Dano's in Gold creek or the pool until about April. After that I just read about Crappie Pro catching them.

You scared the chit out of all us, but to see a couple of your honey holes id ride with you. That is if you got seatbelts, restraints,or three point harness or maybe a roll cage. Be careful and ill see you out there!
