I have towed many, many first timers to the ramp because they did not know what lake Conway is capable of. I have pulled people and their equipment out of the lake after they have flipped their boats out on Conway because they did not know how to negotiate stumps. I AM NOT trying to Brag but, I KNOW LAKE CONWAY.

All I can say is congrats on your survival!! Years ago I would run Barnett like that but I was on that lake quite a bit back then and knew the lanes well. Back then there was more visible wood than not though compared to now.

I used to run Conway lanes wide open at about 25 MPH in my stick steer until Dano fixed his ramp a few years ago. Watch for floaters in the lanes. Fun chasing commarants too.
You can't do wrong by fishing out of Dano's in Gold creek or the pool until about April. After that I just read about Crappie Pro catching them.
