    Thumbs up

As one newbie to another, I just want to say hello. That's an impressive bass your son landed on such light tackle. By the way, you two deserved that slab.....it took real dedication to be out there last friday night... Take care.

    Welcome to you also.

Actually, the wind was 5-7 mph, so not too miserable. I will say that when the fog rolled in aroung 11 pm, it got cool!

    Titleman -

I'm fairly new to LR. I just moved in August to start school at UAMS, so I haven't found too many honeyholes yet. I decided that I didn't really like Conway, since I broke something everytime I went. So, for the past few months, I've been fishing little maumelle river and other little sloughs in the area. Where are your favorite (close to home) places to fish? Hollar at me sometime and we'll go snatch some up. CEB -

Little maumelle is close, peaceful and many times productive.
I prefer to put in at the horse farm (pay launch). There are some pretty nice crappie in there.

Don't forget about Nimrod (one hour). Plum bayou can be good (40 minutes) when it is right.

I must confess i do a lot of my fishing on a private duck club (to remain unnamed) (sorry) in the Grand Prarie.

Don't give up on Conway. Learn it. The summer draw down will give all of us a good look at what's down under.

I used to play a lot of golf, but now I have reverted to my childhood (40 years ago) and mostly crappie fish. My 25 year old son is also deep into crappie fishing. It's not the only passion we share, our other one is TURKEY hunting.

So here I am, I look forward to sharing stories (and maybe a few fishing holes).

For starters, I will share one photo from Friday night (remember the snow?).
This was a Lake Conway fish caught at 9 p.m.. Yes, I said 9 at night.

    2.75 lb.
"Bore" us? Aint nothing boring about putting up a picture of a hog like that!!! Welcome to the board, we're glad you're here.

    Jerry,

I think I've found a new "computer" home.

    Thanks for the welcome.

P.S. Here's one from January. Not a hog like the other one, but 2.25 lb is still respectable!
