Default Introducing the CreekSlick Jig/ A Darn good bait

After a long day with my daughter helping her get some work done, I decided to venture out to my present time favorite fishing hole (Caney Creek) by my house. I only had a few hours of fishing and started right at 5PM. When i got to the water I decided to try a different bait. and thought about what Soswine said about using some hand tied jigs on Caney Creek when he fished it. I love to develope confidence in a lure when im on fish and know fish are being caught in a location. So I dug deep into my tackle archives and found some Maribo hair Jig's that CreekSlick gave me about a year ago. I decided to give em a go and said I'm only going to fish this jig until dark. I was really surprized how the crappie in Caney Creek thumped them and caught 11 good fish before dark. I was using them with a nibble of course and I plan on trying them agian in the morning. I really love how CreekSlick painted the heads the length of the maribo and the colors worked well, not to mention the sicle hook. Thanks Wayne for tying me a great bunch of jigs. They worked well and were very deadly especially in the Pads.
