The old timers around lavaca fish vache grasse (dont pronouce the e's its just vach grass) and you can go up into the creek, or you can launch at vache and go down the river and go to big creek it is about 10 min drive down river, also you can go up river or put in at spring hill park and float down this area is really good for cats.Vache is a good ramp and it is free to launch but if you go after dark there is no lights and their is tons of stucture you can see in these creeks you will just have to start some where. somedays when I go to vache I just use the trolling motor and take your bug spray!
