    Default bamboo/cane HELP

Are they the same thing? Will cane make good condos for crappies? Can you put cane in a 5 gallon bucket with concrete and sink it and will the crappie come to it?

I sunk some cane last year and it held fish. It was the kind of cane that you would use to make cane poles out of. Locally I can't find the bamboo with the limbs like a lot of people use, but the straight cane will work.

I'd like to have some of that. I don't know how long the cane pole cane will hold up.

about halfway tween ravenden and imboden along the bank of the river you could cut all the cane you would ever want. i'm sure you would have to have a jet motor to get to it and haul it out. i don't know any land owners along the river that could/would give you access through their land to the cane. i'm sure if you found out and ask them they would let you through if you didn't tear up their pasture. really, there's cane up and down the river in places. some might be able to get to from the imboden ramp without a jet drive.
